1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using SocialFluent ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

SocialFluent is an AI-powered social skills practice platform. The Service provides simulated conversation scenarios, AI-generated feedback, progress tracking, and educational content to help users improve their social confidence and communication skills.

3. Not Medical or Therapeutic Advice

The Service is an educational and self-improvement tool. It is not therapy, not a mental health service, and not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. While the Service is designed by a psychiatrist, using it does not create a doctor-patient or therapist-client relationship. AI-generated feedback is for educational purposes only and should not be relied upon for clinical decisions.

4. Account Responsibilities

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
  • Share your account with others or create multiple accounts
  • Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the Service
  • Attempt to bypass usage limits or subscription restrictions

6. Subscriptions & Payments

SocialFluent offers a free tier and a paid Pro subscription ($9/month). By subscribing to Pro:

  • You authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis through Stripe.
  • You can cancel at any time through your account settings or the Stripe billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods, except where required by law.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, scenarios, code, and content, is owned by SocialFluent and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our written consent.

You retain ownership of the text you write during practice sessions. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your text for the purpose of providing feedback and improving the Service.

8. AI-Generated Content

Feedback, coaching tips, and other AI-generated content are provided for educational purposes only. AI outputs may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. We do not guarantee the accuracy or suitability of AI-generated content for any specific purpose.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SocialFluent and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

11. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice on the Service or sending you an email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the state in which SocialFluent operates.
